Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 222, Rome mint, (2.78 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. P M TR P COS P P, Salus seated to left holding patera and feeding snake, coiling up from the altar, (S.7894, RIC 14, RSC 218). Nearly as struck, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
