Pescennius Niger, (A.D. 193-194), silver denarius, Antioch mint, (3.69 g), obv. laureate head of Pescennius Niger to right, around IMP CAES C PESC NIGERIVS AVG COS II , rev. around BONAE SPEI, Spes standing left, holding flower and lifting hem of skirt, (S.6101, RIC 3d, RSC 6). Uneven toning, slight flan crack, otherwise very fine and very rare.
