Palestine, a small collection of Biblical related coins, Judaea, Alexander Jannaeus (Yehonatan), (104-76 B.C.), copper prutah, (2.99, 2.84, 3.01 g), obv. anchor around parts of **BASILEWS ALEXANDROY*, rev. star of eight rays surrounded by diadem, between the rays [Yehonatan the King], (S. 6087, H.1150, AJC I, Meshorer 8); John Hyrcanus I (Yehohanan), (134-104 B.C.) or John Hyrcanus II (67, 63-40 B.C.), copper prutah, (1.44 g), obv. legend in Hebrew four lines (Yehohanan the High Priest and the Council of the Jews) with wreath, rev. double cornucopiae adorned with ribbons, pomegranate between, (S.6098, H.457 or 479); Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, (2.09 g), obv. lituus surrounded by Greek inscription, rev. uncertain date within wreath, (S.5623, H.1342-4).
