Germany, Buchenwold Concentration camp, fifty pfennig (45647), one mark (90815), two marks (48320), three marks (77374), and two marks Aussenkommando (37676), (Campbell No. 3949a, 3951b, 3952b.1(1), 3953a, 3954b, Stahl cf.Nos. 24-29 [p.24-5]). Some light tone spots, very fine and a few scarce. (5)

The Aussenkommando notes refer to payment for field work, the other notes were issued as a reward for good behaviour, diligent work or the completion of special projects. They were all used for purchase of 'luxury items' such as cigarettes, extra portions of food or special services.
