Lucius Verus, (A.D. 161-169), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 164, (12.30, 11.40 g), obv. bare headed bust of Lucius Verus to right, around L VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. around TR P IIII IMP II COS II, SC across, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, (S.5414, RIC 1392, C.242) (2) (one illustrated); another, Rome mint, issued 164, (12.17 g), obv. laureate head right, around, L VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. Lucius Verus on horseback right, brandishing spear at vanquished Armenian prostrate right, around TR P IIII IMP II COS II, SC across, (S.5415, cf.RIC 1404, cf.C.257) (illustrated).
