Victorian Artillery pith helmet, pre federation, Wolseley pattern with maker's label on inside, 'A&N.C.S.L. London', brass artillery badge (42mm) at front, ball at top of helmet, brass and leather backed chinstrap secured on inside hooks, with 10-pleated puggaree, leather sweatband with narrow silk liner above, this loose. Loss of material from helmet in various places, considerable foxing, otherwise fine.
