Arthur Dorrofield Charge, accountant, age 28, born at Coonambelah near Townsville, Qld; Enl.27Nov1916 at Townsville, Qld; to 9th Reinfts 11 MG Coy; Emb.11May1917; TOS 22 MG coy, France 10Dec1917; WIA02Sep1918 shell abrasion to shoulder, France; to Cpl 05Jan1919; to T/Sgt 11Apr1919; RTA 28Aug1919 and carried out duties as VO/WOI whilst carrying out duties of S.S.M.1; Disch.12Dec1919.
Post war Arthur continued his career as a bank manager at various branches. He was also a senior member of the Masonic Lodge and on Sunday 9 December 1934 Arthur D.Charge, Rt Wor District Grand Master North Queensland laid the foundation stone of a new Masonic Temple at Ayr, a town about 90 kilometres south of Townsville, Qld.
