Volunteer Long Service Medal, (Victoria Regina Et Imperatrix). Sergt Jno McCarthy. W.A.Vol:Infantry. Cut from edge through Regina to near front of Queen's crown, rim cuts and pitting on unit name, otherwise very fine.
Sgt John McCarthy was presented with his long service medal by His Excellency The Governor's Deputy, Sir Alexander Onslow, at St George's Terrace on Sunday 15 November 1896.
