Frederick Alexander Guthrie, station overseer at Brewarrina, NSW, age 21, born at Burwood, Sydney, NSW; Enl.28Aug1914 at Roseberry Park, Sydney with one year of Senior Cadets at Sydney Grammar School; Emb.20Oct1914 with 1LHR; served at Gallipoli; to Temp Cpl 14Nov1915; to L/Cpl 04Dec1915; to Cpl 01Jan1916; to School of Instruction at Zeitoun 03Mar1916 and again 25Aug1917; to Temp Sgt 10Aug1916; to 2/Lt 08Sep1916; to Lt 23Dec1916; rejoined 1LHR 16Sep1917; KIA 03Nov1917 at the Battle of Tel el Khuweilfe, Beersheba, Palestine; Buried west corner of Gum Grove, Beersheba by Capt Chaplain J Boardman.
