Group of Seven: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Special Constabulary Long Service Medal (EIIR Dei.Gratia). First six medals unnamed as issued, Thomas Allen on last medal. Named medal impressed. Swing mounted, the last ribbon damaged, very fine.

Together with Soldier's Service and Paybook; Soldier's Release Book Class "A"; Regular Army Certificate of Service book; slip for WWII medal entitlement; Certificate of Transfer to the Army Reserve.

Craftsman Thomas Allen, born 09Mar1912 served with the Regular Army from 09Aug1930 until 31Jan1946, originally enlisting at Bury in the Lancashire Fusiliers. He served in China 12Dec1935-13Jan1938; called up for WWII service on 03Sep1939 serving in REME. His trade was as a blacksmith. While in service he was also, at times, in charge of the unit gymnasium and was also employed on occasions in Garrison Police Work. His military conduct was classed as Exemplary and he transferred from REME to the Army Reserve on 01Feb1946.
