Claudius, (A.D. 41-54), AE sestertius, Restitution issue, Rome mint, issued under Titus, A.D. 80-81, (23.12 g), obv. laureate head of Claudius to right, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG PM TR P IMP P P, rev. IMP T VESP AVG REST around, Spes draped advancing to left, right hand holding flower, left raising skirt, S C in exergue, (S.2601, BMC 297, RIC 234, C.103). Light green patina, minor porosity, otherwise very fine and very rare.
