Description

China, Qing Dynasty, QianLong period, (1735 - 1796), finely potted porcelain bowl, having a deep vessel body, slightly flared rim everted from round cavetto with curved sides, and concave foot base, the exterior vividly decorated with famille rose design hand painting, in bright colour of fruiting ripe pomegranates abundant with foliage against clean white background, the interior decorated in similar design to the centre, adorned with gilt overglazed ring on outer rim with floral motifs as a plant and ornamental design, mark on base, a six blue seal script, ZhuanShu characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing, (220mm x 72mm). Extremely fine and scarce.
