Norman Kingdom of Sicily, Tancred (in Amalfi?), (A.D. 1189-1194), gold tari, (0.87 grams), issued 1189-1194, obv. central letters ACD with stars and dots above and below, Arabic script around, rev. REX and similar to obverse, Arabic script around, (Spahr -, CNI XVIII, 11 and No.1 [p.7]). Weak in places, otherwise very fine and very rare.
