Imperial Germany, Prussian Infantry Regt No. 22 enlisted mens felt ersatz 'Scroll helmet' pickelhaube, an extremely good museum quality all reproduction example, ersatz field grey felt with brown leather edge trim and brown leather chinstrap, aged and lacquered steel spike and 'R 22' scroll wappen on the front, full leather aged liner and reproduction cockades, unit marked and dated 1916 to the underside, a very good representation of the pattern introduced in December 1915 and the last pattern of pickelhaube produced for the German army. Extremely fine.
