Group of Five: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. First three medals unnamed, NX9341 F.J.McCormack on last two medals. The named medals are impressed but both are heavily lacquered. The first missing ribbon, very fine - good very fine.
Together with issue box and original leaflet indicating award of first four medals and noted that one of these, the War Medal, to be issued later. It was normal for early issues of medals to be unnamed and subsequently recipients were invited to send them back for naming. The last medal was not created and issued until 1952.
