LG 8/7/41, p3884. 'During Battle of Tobruk, on morning of 21 Jan 41, Sgt Watts with Pte Broinowski, attacked and caused to surrender, whilst under fire, a machine gun post molesting 'B' Coys right flank. Throughout the whole of the Libyian campaign Sgt Watts has done valuable work on patrols, obtaining accurate information. He has always been one of the first to volunteer for any dangerous task.'
