Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (2.64 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP ALEXAN DER PIVS AVG, rev. P M TR P XI COS III P P, Sol standing facing head to left, holding globe and raising right hand, (S.7914, RIC 112, RSC 427); another the same (2.88 g). Extremely fine with delightful patination. (2)
