Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (3.28 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, rev. around VICTOR SEVER AVG, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, (S.6377, RIC 428, RSC 749); another silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 193-4, (3.65 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SE V PERT AVG, rev. around VIRT AVG TR P COS, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, (S.6369, RIC 22, RSC 682); another Rome mint, issued A.D. 194-5, (1.99 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEP SEV PERT AVG IMP IIII, rev. around SECVRITAS PVBLICA, Securitas seated left, holding globe, (S.6364, RIC 56 RSC 696). Fine - very fine, last with an edge flaw, all scarce. (3)
