Lucius Verus, (A.D. 161-169), silver denarius, mule issued 166, Rome mint?, (2.74 g), obv. L VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, bare head to right, rev. Pax standing to left, holding olive branch and cornucopiae, around TR P VI IMP IIII COS II, (S.5352, BMC -, RIC 514/561, RSC -); Commodus, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 179, (2.95 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AVREL COM MODVS AVG, rev. around TR P IIII IMP III COS II P P, Victory seated to left holding patera and palm, (S.5703, RIC 666, RSC 775, BMC 801). First coin with an obverse of c.164 A.D., muled with a reverse of 166 A.D., possibly a contemporary forgery as the coin is of light weight but still of good style, both very fine. (2)
