Q. Minucius Rufus, (c.122 B.C.), silver denarius (3.35 g), obv. Roma helmeted head to right, X below chin, [RVF] behind, rev. Dioscuri to right, Q. MINV below, ROMA in exergue, (S.152, Cr.277/1, Syd.421, RSC Minucia 1); Mn. Cordius Rufus, (46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.85 g), obv. conjoined diademed heads of the Dioscuri to right, each surmounted by a star, RVFVS III VI[R] below and behind, rev. Venus Verticordia standing left, holding scales and sceptre, Cupid on her shoulder, MN CORDIVS behind, (S.440, Cr.463/1b, Syd.976c, RSC Cordia 1). First coin filed around the edge, otherwise very fine and scarce, second coin off centred, with field corrosion, otherwise fine. (2)

The second coin marks the final appearance of the traditional Dioscuri reverse type for the denarius introduced 90 years before.
