Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Sidon mint, struck year 35 = 251-250 B.C. (Davesne & Le Rider chronology based on Meydancikkale Hoard), (13.40 g), obv. head of Ptolemy I to right, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, **[PTOLE]MAIOU SOTHROS*, with **SI* above monogram of MT all to left, to right **LE*, (date 35), (cf.S.7772, Sv.746 [5 noted, cf.Pl.XXI,21], cf.Meydancikkale Hoard No. 4736-4738 [all from the same obverse die]). Toned, nearly very fine and very rare.
