Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Sidon mint, struck 266-265 B.C. (Davesne & Le Rider chronology based on Meydancikkale Hoard), (13.36 g), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left **SI*, around **PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS*, (cf.S.7772, Sv.713, SNG Cop 506-7, BMC 32, Meydancikkale 4699ff.). Toned, banker's marks on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine - very fine and scarce.
