Thessaly, Larissa, (405/0-370 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.91 g), obv. facing head of nymph Larissa three-quarter to left, wearing tainia and necklace, border of dots, rev. horse with straight legs grazing to left on ground line, circular above **LARISA*, (cf.S.2120, BCD Thessaly II 217-218 [same dies], Lorber 'Early Facing Heads Drachms..' Florilegium Numismaticum, 1992', Group 2, head type 14, No.29, C. Lorber & C. Shahar. The Silver Facing Head Coins of Larissa. Online database, Group 1, head type 1, dies obv.die 6, rev.die 1). Nearly extremely fine, slightly off centred, with attractive light grey tone and very rare.
