Sicily, Syracuse, reign of Hieron II, (275-215 B.C.), AE 26, (15.62 g), obv. diademed head of Hieron beardless to left, uncertain (rudder) behind, rev. horseman prancing to right, holding spear couched, beneath A, in exergue traces of IEP**WNOS*, (S.1221, SNG Cop. 842, BMC 595. SNG ANS 825-6); Sicily, Himera, (420-408 B.C.), AE 16, (hemilitron), (2.43 g), obv. head of nymph Himera to left, wearing sphendone, with necklace and pearls, before six pellets, rev. six pellets in two rows of three all within laurel wreath, (S.1110, Calciati I 35 [p.43-44], SNG Morcom 599, Gabrici 29-35 [p.140], SNG ANS 186-187, BMC 54). Fine - nearly very fine, second coin chipped, both with tickets. (2)
