Republic, Anonymous, (c.214-212 B.C.), Sicilian mint, AE uncia, (5.71 g), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, rev. prow to right, ROMA and grain-ear above, (S.617, Cr.42/4, Syd. 79), (illustrated); Anonymous, AE quadrans, 211-208 B.C., Sicilian mint, (7.48 g), obv. head of Hercules right wearing lion's skin, three dots (mark of value) behind, rev. Bull leaping right, three dots (mark of value) and grain ear above, serpent below, ROMA in ex, (Crawford 69/5, RBW 92). First coin with deep green patina, very fine/good very fine. Second toned, fine and very scarce. (2)
