Phoenicia, Sidon, king `Abd `astart I, (365-352 B.C.), silver sixteenth shekel, (0.65 g), dated RY 1 = 365-364 B.C., obv. war galley travelling to left, waves below, Phoenician letter 9 above, rev. Phoenician letter 90 between Persian king or bearded deity and lion which he is slaying, (S.5940, HGC 10, 245, 197-200, cf.BMC 34-35, E&E-S Group IV, 2.4.2, see Cohen, Dated Coins of Antiquity, page 466 noted). Well centred, lightly toned, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
