Syria, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Caracalla (A.D. 198-217), silver tetradrachm, (14.11 g), War issue, issued 215-217, obv. laureate head of Caracalla to right, around legend AVT K M A ANT**W*NEINO C C E B, rev. eagle with open wings standing facing, head to right, wreath in beak, eight pointed star between legs, club below, around **D*HMAPX E**X UPA TO*C TO**D*, (cf.S.2649, Prieur 233 [notes 38 examples known], Bellinger 31 [ANS Mum. Studies No.3, p.25, Pl.III, 1]). Good very fine and scarce.
