Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.27 g), Antioch mint, first reign, issued 121-114 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus Uranius with crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right **BASILEOS and **ANTIOCOU and to left **EPIFANOUS, to left IE over A, to right, plain between figure and inscription, **F* in exergue, (cf.S.7143, HGC 1197e, SC 2298.1b, Newell SMA 377). Toned, good very fine and very scarce.
