Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.53 g), Antioch mint, first reign, issued 121-114 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus Uranius with crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right **BASILEOS and **ANTIOCOU and to left **EPIFANOUS, to left IE over A, to right, between figure and inscription O, (cf.S.7143, HGC 1196d, SC 2298.4e, Newell SMA 368, SNG Israel I (Spaer) 2497-8). Nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
