Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos II, (261-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.72 g), Series II Group C, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 261-256 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right **BASILEWS, to left **ANTIOCOU*, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6886, SC 587.1a, HGC 236g, Newell ESM 178, SNG Spaer 382-3, Hunter 21). High relief, gouge on reverse, attractive broad flan, good very fine and very scarce.
