Sicily, Syracuse, Philistis, wife of Hieron II, (275-215 B.C.), silver 16 Litrai or tetradrachm 26mm, (13.20 g), struck c.218/7-214 B.C., obv. diademed and veiled bust left of Philistis, spear to right, rev. **[BASILISSAS] FILISTIDOS* above and below, Nike, holding reins in both hands, driving slow quadriga right, [MI] above, (S.988, cf.CCO 182, BAR Issue 65, SNG ANS -, SNG Lloyd -). Good very fine/very fine with heavy corrosion on upper part of the reverse, very rare.
