Sicily, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 23, (10.17 g), obv. bust of Artemis to right, quiver at shoulder behind, **SWTEIRA*. rev. above and below winged thunderbolt **AGAQOKLEOS / BASILEOS*, (S.1200, BMC 422, McClean 2858, SNG ANS 708ff.); reign of Hieron II, (275-216 B.C.), AE 18, (6.59 g), obv. Poseidon head to left wearing tainia, rev. ornamented trident-head, between two dolphins, dividing IEP **WNOS traces below, (S.1223, SNG Cop.854, Favorito 86e-l). Dark brown patina one with green highlights, good very fine. (2)
