Reserve Bank of New Zealand, L.Lefeaux, 1st August 1934, fifty pounds, T 000538 (P.157; Robb 171; L.607). Some ink smudging on back from possible damp storage at one time, crisp original body, very fine and a very rare note with an interesting provenance.

Ex Robb Family Collection, purchased privately in 2010, previously purchased by Alistair Robb in the early 1970s for face value. Robb purchased a group of around six of these notes at the time, sold one to W.H.Lampard (see our sale 78B) for $107, kept one for himself and cashed the rest in.
