Chandragupta II, India, Gupta Empire, First Dynasty, Chandragupta II Vikramaditya, (cA.D.380-413), gold dinar, Archer type, obverse Chandragupta standing left, holding arrow in left hand and bow in right, standard on left behind hand, King's name under left arm, reverse Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding noose in right hand and lotus with long stalk in left (P.L.Gupta and S.Srivastava. Gupta Gold Coins in Bharat Kala Bhavan Class III, 83; Altekar Class II, variety A). Good very fine, set in old gold surround mount.
