Robert Dennis Cook, including Foundation Medal in sterling silver and enamel, engraved on bars 'Foundation/Consecrated', 'Member/30th October 1925' and on reverse 'Bro.R.D.Cook/Foundation Secretary'; Orpheus Founder, handcrafted medal in gold (9ct), engraved on reverse 'Presented to/Wor Bro.Robert Dennis Cook I.P.M./As a mark of Esteem/by the Brethren/of Orpheus Lodge No.394 V.C./28.10.30; Foundation Secretary, handcrafted medal in gold (9ct) engraved on reverse 'Presented to/Bro.R.D.Cook/by the officers & Members/of the/Orpheus Lodge /as a mark of Esteem/26.10.26'; together with apron, certificates (3) named to Robert Dennis Cook; Proceedings Book, Grand Lodge of Victoria, 1929, other smaller booklets (6) on Rituals, Constitution, By-Laws, Information; Programmes (17) including Consecration of the Lodge and Installation, 30th October 1925; Menu for the Banquet for Lord Somers, 20th March 1930; Notices; Greeting cards; leather pouch, gold blocked 'Bro.R.D.Cook/Thespian Lodge No.232'; also three other Masonic medals, in gilt, gold plate over silver, and gilt and enamel, the last R.A.O.B. The Orpheus Lodge No.394 was established in Victoria in 1925 as a daylight Lodge to cater for those Brethren who could not attend Masonic meetings in the evenings such as those employed in the entertainment industry, media and shiftworkers.
