Gent's gold half hunter pocket watch, in 18ct gold (tot wt 151.5g), keywind (no key with lot), gold dial with polished gold Roman numerals on textured pattern, seconds indicated on plain border, in the centre a different machine turned pattern, seconds sub dial with dot indicator marks, inside back lid hallmarked for London 1876, case maker's initials T.H/J.H, works by Litherland & Davies Co, Liverpool, movement no. 9089, case works' cover inscribed, 'Adam Hunter', the cover, central body and case cover with winding, twist pattern border. Cover glass with small scratch, working order unknown, hairlines on back cover from polishing, otherwise very fine.

Possibly with a connection to the Hunter family of Fife, Scotland, with three generations all named Adam Hunter, grandfather (1814-94), father (1845-1918) and son (1869-1933), all engineers.
