China, Empire, forgery of the Pei-Yang silver tael coin, 42.5mm (35.43 g), with date 1907, obv. outer ring 'Valuable coin [of the] Kuang Hsu', rev. dragon, around 33rd year of Kuang Hsu, Pei Yang below, (Kann F938 [same dies]). Extremely fine with a brilliant proof-like field, rare as a Kann noted forgery.
