Mauretania, Lix, AE 21, (c.2nd Century B.C.), (6.16 g). obv. facing head of Baal-Melqart, rev. star between grape cluster and grain ear, neo-Punic "MQM SMS", (S.-, SNG Cop. 707, Muller 248, Mazard 645 = Laffaille, "Choix de Monnaies Grecques en Bronze," 199 = Laffaille 656 [this coin]). Extremely fine, glossy dark brown patina, exceptional style and very rare.
