Zeugitania, Carthage, African Revolt (Libya), (c.241-238 B.C.), billon didrachm or shekel, (7.16 g), obv. head of young Hercules to left, clad in lion skin, rev. lion prowling to right, above Punic letter "M" and again on lion, plain exergue, (cf.S.6543, Robinson, Num. Chron. (1953) No. 22, [p.29 Pl.III, 4], SNG Cop. 241-2). Full flan, well centred, very fine/good very fine and rare, with a trace of overstrike on the Carthaginian earlier single shekel.
