Zeugitania, Carthage, African Revolt (Libya), (c.241-238 B.C.), billon tetradrachm or double shekel, (12.38 g), obv. head of Zeus to left, **LIBUWN* before, overstruck on Carthaginian billon double shekel, Punic letter behind, rev. bull butting to right, **LIBUWN* in exergue, Punic letter above, dotted border, (cf.S.6541, Robinson, Num. Chron. (1953) No. 17-18, [p.29 Pl.III, 1-2], SNG Cop. 244). Full flan, well centred, extremely fine and rare, with a partial overstrike on the Carthaginian earlier double shekel.
