Zeugitania, Carthage, (c.149-146 B.C.), silver tetradrachm or double shekel, (12.57 g), obv. head of Tanit to left, crowned with wreath of corn, wearing single pendant earring, rev. free horse standing to right, crescent and pellet to left of leg, (S.6500, cf.Jenkins [Pl.28, 14, places date at 200-146 B.C. p.136], cf.SNG Cop. 404 [dates 264-241 B.C.], M.117, Visona 64 and dates c.149-146 B.C.]). Porous surface and test mark on edge, serrated edge, otherwise good fine/nearly fine and scarce.
