Siculo-Punic, (c.410-395 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.55 g), obv. forepart of a horse to left, crowned by Nike above to right facing left, grain ear before, rev. Punic legend 'QRT HDST' below a palm tree with two date clusters, (cf.S.6426 [p.594], Jenkins, SNR 53, 30 [same dies, dies 08/R29], SNG Lloyd 1607, Bunbury I Auction Sale, June 15-22, 1896 [lot 541 same dies], SNG Cop. 70 [same obverse die]). Well centred, nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Collection of Marion A. Sinton, sold Triton III November 30 - December 1, 1999 (lot 337), purchased privately January 27, 2000 from A.H. Baldwin & Sons, London and Noble Numismatics Sale 64 (lot 2425).
Jenkins records only three examples of this coin type from these dies and this being the only one available to collectors. The entire series comes from ten obverse and thirty two reverse dies.
