Thrace, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (305-281 B.C.), silver drachm (3.58 g), of the types of Alexander III of Macedon, struck at Abydos mint, c.299/8-297/6 B.C., obv. head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus Aetophoros seated left, in left field, lion forepart left above monogram, below throne, head of griffin to left, to right **LUSIMAC[OU]*, (S.6812, Thompson 67, Price L18, Mller -). Toned, nearly very fine, rare with this monogram and griffin head.
