Lucilla, wife of Lucius Verus, (Augusta 164-182 A.D.), dupondius or as, AE 24-25mm, (9.37 g), struck under Marcus Aurelius, obv. LVCILLAE AVG - ANT[ONINI AVG F], bust of Lucilla, draped right, with hair elaborately waved and fastened in chignon low on back of head, rev. SA L[VS] around, S - C across, Salus, draped, standing front, head left, with patera in right hand feeding snake coiled round altar left and holding vertical sceptre in left hand, (S.5521, BMCRE IV p.574, 1186 and pl.77.7; C.67; RIC III p.354, 1761). Very fine, scarce.
