Faustina Junior, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (Augusta 147-175/6 A.D.), dupondius or as AE 23-24 mm, (8.49 g), struck under Marcus Aurelius, 161-175, obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA around, draped Bust of Faustina II to right, draped, hair waved and fastened in chignon low on back of head, circlet of pearls in her hair, rev. CONCOR DIA around, S C across, Concordia, draped, standing facing, head left, holding patera in extended right hand and double cornucopiae in left hand, (S.5291, BMCRE IV p.538, 968 footnote; C.48; RIC III p.344, 1625). Brown patina, good very fine, edge roughness, scarce.
