Trio: Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 67079 E.W.O'Brien. All medals impressed. Extremely fine.
Together with b&w photos of three men in tropical uniform (presumably one is O'Brien) and six photos of a crashed aircraft (back marked P.160 12/12/42); square piece (11x11cm) of aircraft body, with diagonal bend, and printed on there is a short poem, 'Chance/if you fly you'll bag a Jap/so here's good luck just keep/awake/and then they're dirty/necks you'll break/LAC George'; jagged portion of steel, possibly shrapnel.
