Thomas Alan Donald, bank clerk, age 18, born at Northam, WA; Enl.13Jun1916 at Blackboy Hill, WA; Emb.23Dec1916; Disemb.16Feb1917 at Devonport, England; to Codford 24Feb1917; to hospital 24Mar1917, influenza; to France 22May1917; TOS 16Bn in the field 11Jun1917; to Temp Cpl 06Oct1917; to Cpl 15Dec1917; Detached to Australian Gas School 13Jan1918; rejoined unit 19Jan1918; leave 12Feb-02Mar1918; to Sgt 24Jul1918; WIA but remained on duty 06Aug1918; KIA 08Aug1918, during the Battle of Amiens in which the Allies re-took the town of Harbonnieres in France; buried Heath Military Cemetery, Harbonnieres.
