The Great Imperial Throne, from Le Comte, G.Child engraver, copperplate engraving (15x23cm) on sheet and matted, featuring the Great Imperial Throne in the Forbidden City, Beijing, China; The Flying Bridge, I.Wood engraver, copperplate engraving (22x30.8cm) on sheet and matted, featuring the Flying Bridge built between two mountains on the River Whang-ho in China, 600 feet long and 650 high from the river. Both with some spots of foxing, otherwise very fine. (2)

The first published by Thomas Astley, London c1752 in a compendium of important travel writing titled, 'A New General Collection of Voyages and Travels'. The second published 1743-7 by Thomas Astley, London for 'A New general collection of voyages and travels; consisting of the most esteemed relations which have been hitherto published in any language, comprehending everything remarkable in its kind'.
