ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum, (c.280-272 B.C.), silver nomos or didrachm (6.47 g), So-, Chalo-, and Ano-, magistrates, obv. youth on horseback right, crowning self, **SW* behind, **XALO* and Ionic capital below, rev. Phalanthos astride dolphin left, holding aplustre and distaff, ANO behind, TAPA**S* below, (cf.S.363, Vlasto 803, HN Italy 1014, SNG ANS 1146). Good very fine/very fine, some porosity on reverse, rare.
