VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, issued October 367, (4.42 g), obv. rosette-diademed draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding standard with + symbol and Victory, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, *CONS wreath in exergue, (S.4088, RIC 25a, C.25, Depeyrot 21/1). Very rare, good very fine with edge bump.
